In October 2002, the Austrian Corporate Governance Code was presented to publicly traded companies that have agreed to voluntary compliance with the provisions set forth in this policy. Flughafen Wien AG, which has followed the majority of these provisions for years, has naturally agreed to comply with the provisions of the Code and has incorporated most of the relevant regulations in its Articles of Association. This underscores the company’s commitment to strengthen the confidence of shareholders, customers, employees and the public. The Code represents an important step in developing transparent and responsible management and control, which is directed toward creating a lasting increase in the value of the company for shareholders.
