Postponement of the “Aviation-Event 2021” at Vienna Airport: Specialist conference with international aviation experts rescheduled for 25 January 2022

Due to the last COVID-19 developments in Austria and the measures now in effect with respect to holding events, the Aviation-Event 2021 at Vienna Airport, originally scheduled for 7 December 2021, will be postponed. A new date has been set for 25 January 2022. International aviation experts, representatives of airports, airlines, service providers and technology companies will come together at Vienna Airport for the Aviation-Event 2021 to discuss current aviation trends. Austrian State Secretary for Aviation Magnus Brunner and Austrian Airlines CEO Alexis von Hoensbroech will be among the many participants. The meeting will be held in the AirportCity Space, the new state-of-the-art event centre at the airport, in compliance with all valid COVID-19 regulations. Information on the programme and registration at www.aviation-event.de.

“The international meeting of high-ranking aviation decision makers and the personal exchange of views by industry experts comprise the focal point of Aviation-Event 2021. Unfortunately, it is not possible to hold such a conference in Austria at the present time due to the recently imposed COVID-19 regulations. For this reason, we are forced to postpone the Aviation-Event 2021 and reschedule it for 25 January 2022. The pandemic will still not be over at this time, but we expect, in any case, significant passenger growth once again with the start of the 2022 summer flight schedule. At this conference in January, we will discuss how COVID-19, digitalisation and climate protection will shape the aviation sector in the future, and we look forward to welcoming a large number of attendees,” explains Julian Jäger, Joint CEO and COO of Vienna Airport.

“The Aviation-Event team very much regrets the postponement of the Aviation-Event 2021 VIE scheduled for 7 December 2021, a decision the airport was forced to make by the new regulations imposed by the Austrian Federal Government. Together with Julian Jäger, we are pleased to present the new date of 25 January 2022 for our conference. The agenda remains the same, and I look forward to meeting you all” states Marcel Riwalsky, CEO, Aviation-Event.
