Unless otherwise agreed, handling is on the basis of IATA SGHA version 2008 AHM 810 and the liability provisions contained therein.
Loading and unloading of aircraft
Our loading service includes the handling of bulk and containerised compartments in all versions defined in the IATA handling manual. Every day an average of 650 flight movements and around 800 tons of baggage as well as 550 tons of freight are handled with the greatest care. The loading and unloading of an aircraft in the shortest possible time calls for comprehensive and precise coordination. Our team is capable of reacting flexibly and quickly to unforeseen circumstances. Our aim of becoming one of the fastest airports of its class in Europe has been achieved and maintained through regular staff training and state-of-the-art technical equipment.
Baggage handling & BRS
When it comes to baggage handling, reliability, speed and quality are crucial. Our customers can benefit from short baggage turnaround times using the latest technology and state-of-the-art logistics. Mobile tracking operates throughout the airport and our baggage reconciliation system (BRS), one of the most modern in Europe, therefore complies with ICAO Annex 17 regulations. This ensures that there is no baggage without a corresponding passenger so that baggage from non-checked passengers can be located and removed with minimum delay.
Catering
Catering transport at Vienna Airport is carried out by our handling agents. The catering companies prepare around 19,000 meals,
which are brought by our employees to the aircraft and loaded with the greatest care and efficiency onto aircraft of all kinds.
De-icing / anti-icing
Our high-tech Elephant Beta equipment offers professional de-icing and anti-icing of aircraft for our customers. Knowledge of the weather situation in Austria and the experience of our employees also make a decisive contribution to optimum de-icing and anti-icing services. Regular checks and compliance with all safety regulations and environmental standards are a matter of course.

Sanitary services
Our sanitary services include mobile water filling and emptying, evacuation, cleaning and refilling of toilets and all general
disposal services.
Cabin cleaning
We offer our customers a wide range of hygiene services such as cabin cleaning, thorough and exterior cleaning. We have a special high-speed cleaning service for delayed flights, helping our customers in this way to make up for lost time.
Airside transport of passengers and crews
Passengers and crews are our customers’ most valuable asset. Our all-in, forward-looking planning ensures that passengers and crew members arrive at the aircraft on time.
