How to obtain a temporary airport identity card

This identity card is for persons who must access secured areas of the Vienna Airport to carry out a one-time activity and is generally limited to a period of 24 hours.

Issuance of temporary airport identity cards for secure areas: 

1. The contractor for the one-time official activity must apply for the temporary airport identity card in writing one business day prior at the identity card station ( ausweisstelle@viennaairport.com or by fax: 01/7007-523325).

2. The person who needs the airport identity card must accompany the applicant to the issuing station.

3. The person who will receive the temporary airport identity card must leave an official photo ID.

4. The accompanying confirmation must be completed, and a photo and biometric data will be stored in the system.

5. The accompanying person is required to supervise the person with the temporary airport identity card in the secure areas at all times. Before departing from the airport premises, the temporary airport identity card must be returned to the issuing station.
